About the Kiwanis Club of Toronto Foundation

Incorporated in 1953, the Kiwanis Club of Toronto Foundation is a charitable organization that funds programs and organizations supporting children and youth in Toronto. The Foundation also awards several post-secondary scholarships.

The Foundation's source of funds stem primarily from the generous gifts of Torontonians who choose to create a powerful legacy within the community.  As a charity, it is able to accept donations and issue tax receipts, and therefore giving to the Foundation makes an excellent social investment.  It is a Public Foundation and our registration number is: 105223051 RR0001.

DONATE HERE or contact our Executive Director, Hugh Williams (hugh @ torontokiwanis.ca) for more information.

The funds are expertly managed; and, the distribution of funds to charities is done in a thorough and thoughtful way to ensure the money is given to reputable charitable organizations working with children and youth.

The Foundation also supports international projects such as The Eliminate Project in partnership with UNICEF and Sleeping Children Around the World, a Toronto-based charity that has delivered more than ONE MILLION bed kits to children around the world.

Appeal Program for 2017 (Applying for Funding)

Because 2017 is our Centennial year, Kiwanis Toronto is planning an ambitious, new, one-time only approach to grant applications. We are awarding 100 grants to 100 charitable organizations helping children and youth in Toronto - each with a value of up to $2500.  Also eligible will be programs from Toronto-based charities that help indigenous youth or that are helping children in the developing world.

Those applicants who are successful and receive a 2017 grant will then be eligible to apply for the Community Achievement Award valued at $40,000.

For more information or to apply for a grant, see our online grant application.
